I liked that is had documents on hand that I needed and was able to manipulated them and submit them for the purpose I needed them for.
It was a little tricky to use at first, but quickly figured it out.

What is a salary voucher?
Salary voucher is one which is relied upon for payment of salary. But generally salary voucher is something like a receipt for the amount you receive as net salary, and may require a signature.
What is a payroll voucher?
A payroll voucher is used to record all employee-related transactions. It enables you to compute all the values for the respective Pay Heads (Earnings and Deductions). The calculations are made on the basis of the definitions specified in the pay headmasters, pay structure and attendance entries.
How many types of payroll vouchers are there in tally?
By default in Tally. ERP 9, there are 18 different predefined Voucher types (where Payroll feature is enabled, the number of predefined voucher types will be 20). Voucher type pertains to Accounting, Inventory and Payroll. These are used for recording various transactions according to the user needs.
What is payroll report?
A payroll report is a form you used to notify governments of employment tax liabilities. There are different forms for the various employment taxes that you and your employees must pay. You must report both the taxes you withhold from employee wages and the taxes you contribute to.
How can use payroll voucher in tally?
Go to Gateway of Tally > Payroll Vouchers > Ctrl + F4: Payroll. Press F2 to change the Voucher Date. Click A: Payroll Auto Fill or press Alt+A. Select the Salary in Process for field. In the Compute Income Tax Based on field, select Declared Value, to compute tax based on the amount declared.
