What do you like best?
What I like best is that I can upload my documents. I then edit them as needed. I can print, save, and fax all from within the application. The system is user-friendly and easy to navigate.
What do you dislike?
I cannot pinpoint one thing that I dislike. I use this application regularly. It fits all my day-to-day needs, whether that is business or personal. The fee for business users could have a certain percentage off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is a lot of signing documents in the business I work in. With this application, instead of printing the paper, singing it, scanning it back into the computer, then exporting it where it needs to go. I can sign via text and, from there, can ship where it needs to go.

I started with pdfFiller almost a week…
I started with pdfFiller almost a week ago, and tried to get support on and off. The Live Chat didn't work, so I was emailing, but the emailing didn't really work as I would wait for a response, and when I got a response, I was working on something else. But the Live Chat did work today. The first person was trying to help, but I didn't know how to do a screenshot and he got tired of waiting for me to do it and ended the chat. Then, I got KARA, who was fantastic. She did a Zoom meeting and showed me how to do everything I want. I am so relieved that I understand how to fix my problems, and I was just about to give up until Kara got on the Live Chat. She was patient and informative. She is a rock star!

How do I get a permit for permitted work?
You will likely need to apply for a permit, then if the permitted work is extensive, hire an architect or other professional to draw plans for the existing work and proposals for any changes that will need to be made to bring it up to code. Then you will need to get the plan approved by the city.
Does homeowners insurance cover permitted work?
Permitted work can interfere with homeowners insurance, and often home insurance will not cover work that is permitted. Many homeowners trying to avoid problems with their insurance will remediate to ensure that their home is fully protected by their homeowners insurance.
How common is permitted work?
It is not common, but from time to time city inspectors do come down on homeowners with permitted work. The difficulties could include being required to get the work permitted which may consist of hiring an architect, making changes to meet codes, etc.
