Restore Past Versions of A Document

Have you ever started editing a PDF only to get to a point where you need a version of your document that you had several steps back? Or maybe you’ve been collaborating on a document and want to use a version you had before your colleagues made changes? Well if you’ve ever been in either of these circumstances, pdfFiller has the perfect tool for you! pdfFiller ‘Versions’ tool keeps track of the changes you make after each document editing session. Here’s how it works. You may have noticed that anytime you have hit ‘Done’ after editing a document in the pdfFiller editor, a window pops open telling you that a version of your document has been saved along with the date and time. Next time you open that document in the editor, you can click on the small double arrow on top of the ‘Versions’ bar to the right side of your editing window. When you open the Versions tool, you’ll notice a list of versions labeled with the date and time that you made specific changes to the document. When you click on one of the dates and times, you will see an orange button appear that says “Restore this Version”. Clicking on the button will reinstate the version of the document you have selected. Keep in mind that even if you reinstate an older version of the document, all the versions will continue to be stored in the list. To return to the current version, you can simply close the Versions tool. So relax! pdfFiller has got your back when it comes to keeping control of your document changes! Good company with a great product This is a good company with a great product. I am a retired attorney who was in need of a certification of trust for our family living trust. I checked pdfFiller and found what I needed but then realized that in my experience as a lawyer, I already knew the basics of what had to be done. So I cancelled the subscription and within minutes, received word from pdfFiller that the subscription would be cancelled. An honest company that is responsive, with good products - can't do better than that.

a little hard to figure out at first but once I got the hang of it was great. Like the variety offorms tonselect from, some forms could be a bit more specific but other than thaat I love the program.

What is version history?

Version history includes the dates each version was edited, how long that version was in place for, and what changed.

How do I recover a file I accidentally deleted?

Navigate to the folder that used to contain the file or folder, right-click it, and then select Restore previous versions. If the folder was at the top level of a drive, for example C:\, right-click the drive, and then select Restore previous versions.

How to find version history in Word?

View previous versions of a file Open the file you want to view. Click the title of your file and select Version history. Select a version to open it in a separate window. If you want to restore a previous version you've opened, select Restore.

How to recover a deleted template in PandaDoc?

Note: You can only find and recover deleted documents in the Trash folder. To recover a template or a content library item please reach out to us and specify the name, the approximate date the template/content library item was created, and the email address of its owner so we can help you restore it.

How do I replace a source file in PandaDoc?

Hover over the document name, click on the vertical ellipsis menu, then choose Replace source file. Next, in the pop-up, click Select file to replace your uploaded content. That's it!

How do I recall a document in PandaDoc?

To recover a deleted document, open the document list first, next, select Trash folder, hover on the far right over the document, and select three vertical ellipses > Restore.

Can you recall a document in PandaDoc?

Unfortunately, once the document is sent, you cannot cancel it. However, you can delete the document or change its status to "Expired" in your PandaDoc account so that the recipients won't be able to access the document.

How do I save a PandaDoc template to the content library?

Click the three dots above the page you would like to add to the library, here you will see the option to add the page to the Content Library. Specific blocks: To start, click on the block you wish to save, once the block is clicked a floating menu bar appears at the top. Click on the 'Add to Library' icon.
