In such instances, you can call GPL at 800-483-8314 to sign up for a prepaid calling account and begin receiving calls again. Please note in order to receive calls to cell phones, inmates must call either prepaid collect or use their inmate debit calling account.
How can I accept collect calls from jail on my cell phone?
Your friends or loved ones can't just place a collect call to your phone number. They must call 1-800-CALL-ATT and choose the Collect to Wireless option when prompted. They then enter your 10-digit wireless number to connect to you. Confirm with your cellphone provider that you're able to receive collect calls.
How can I talk to an inmate for free?
Enter name of facility where inmate is located and cell phone number. You will receive a 4 digit verification code. When you confirm it, you will receive immediately a SMS with the phone number local to the facility where the inmate is located. Give the local number to the inmate, start inmate calling and saving!
How do I put money on my phone for Global Tel Link?
Payments by Phone payments can be made through the GPL automated system by calling 1-800-483-8314. The automated system will recognize the phone number you're calling from and ask if that is the number you would like to apply a payment.
How much is a secures phone call?
Interstate prepaid and debit calling rates are $0.21 per minute and Interstate collect calling rates are $0.25 per minute.
How much does it cost to talk to an inmate on the phone?
According to the FCC, some prison inmates have had to pay as much as $17 for a 15-minute phone call. The new rate caps, which were passed by the agency last fall under the leadership of acting FCC Chair Mignon Cliburn, impose a limit of 25 cents per minute for debit calling and 21 cents per minute for collect calling.
