Canceling your Sprint Flex lease If you decide to cancel your lease before the 18-month lease term is up, Sprint will require you to pay the remaining lease payments as well as the Purchase Option Price. After this, you are free to leave and take your device with you.
If you would like to leave Sprint prior to the lease end date you must pay out the remaining months of the lease payments (similar to a 2-year contract, (starting to make sense now?)). Also, you must either 1. Turn in the Device or 2. Pay the buyout exactly as if you ran the agreement fully through.
The early termination fee is prorated, which means that as more time passes, you will pay less to terminate the fee. The way Sprint figures out the fee is that it charges $20 per month for each month that's left on your contract with a maximum fee of $350 and a minimum of $100 per device.
Get your phone ready to return. Please contact a care representative today at 855-279-3712 to order a return kit. The kit is all you need to quickly and easily return your leased device to Sprint. Please use the instructions below to back up, erase and unlock your phone before returning it.
Ending the Lease In order to end a lease, they must make the rest of the lease payments, plus pay the Purchase Option Price. At that point, they own the device. Those who do not want to keep the phone can return it to Sprint after making the final lease payments and paying the Purchase Option Price.
Even if you return a phone, you could be charged for both the phone and additional fees. If you return a phone within the 14-day trial period of signing up, you're charged a restocking fee and possibly other costs. Even if you can figure out how to return a leased phone, they still bill you for it.
