Worth the money! The software is very easy to use from a smartphone or computer. Most people don't own a fax machine, so this feature is very handy! The subscription is necessary, but now with many places of business using editable PDFs, it's not needed as often as I'd like.

For new members , you can dial *155# on any phone toll free and register as an NHIF member. After registration you will get NHIF memebr number by SMS. You will now be able to access NHIF selfcare services which include Payment of Monthly contributions, Payment of Penalties and Arrears.
Online application Fill the form details. Attach copy of identity (ID) card, passport photo, and marriage certificate if you are married. Click save and submit. You will receive an SMS to your number about the status.
NHIF dependent registration online First, log in to your NHIF account using your email address and password, or create an account if you do not have one. Tap on the dependent's registration on the menu. Key in your national identity number. Fill in all the necessary fields.
How to register for NHIF online Go to: NHIF registration portal. Click Self Employed. Enter your National ID/Passport/Alien ID. Fill in all other form fields. Attach a Scanned Copy of Your ID or passport. Attach Passport size Photo. If married, attach your spouse's Marriage Certificate. Click to Confirm.
On your browser, go to NHIF Self-care Online Portal. Enter your ID number. The national health insurer will send an OTP via SMS to your registered number. Input OTP then verify.
The application is free of charge. For members under the voluntary category, they pay Kshs. 500 per month (Kshs. 6000 per annum) as contributions.
How to register for the NHIF online self-service Open the NHIF self-service portal on your browser. Click on the create account tab. Choose individual member registration. Fill in your personal details including your name, National ID No, email, and mobile number.

How To Add A Dependent to Your NHIF Card. Fill the NHIF amendment form which you can get from any of the NHIF branches, Huduma Center, or download it online. State the amendments needed essentially the dependents to NHIF. Fill the relevant sections and add your signature to confirm that the information is correct.
