Start QuickBooks and open the company file from which you want to export an invoice template. Select the "Lists" menu and click "Templates." Click on the template you want to export to select it. Click the "Templates" drop-down list and choose "Export."
Click Lists, then Templates. Locate the template you want to make a copy of and click on it to highlight it. Click on the Templates box in the lower left hand corner, and then click the Duplicate option.
Start QuickBooks and open the company file from which you want to export an invoice template. Select the "Lists" menu and click "Templates." Click on the template you want to export to select it. Click the "Templates" drop-down list and choose "Export."
From the left menu, select Sales, then choose All Sales. Open the invoice or estimate you need to copy. Select More, then select Copy. (Note: After the invoice or estimate is copied it has a note saying it is a copy.) Edit the invoice or estimate as needed, then select Save.
Customize any of these templates with QuickBooks' Create Invoices tool. Launch QuickBooks. Click "Customers" in the main menu bar, and then select "Create Invoices" from the pull-down menu. Click the "Print Preview" button to see how your current invoice template appears when printed or sent as an email attachment.
Click the Gear icon. Under Your Company, click Custom Form Styles. To create a new template, click the New style button in the upper right-hand corner. Select Invoice. Go to the Design tab to edit the template name, logo, color, font, and margins.
Click Sales in the left hand menu. Select Invoices. Click on the Invoice you wish to Copy. Click More at the bottom of the page and then Select Copy.
