In the Microsoft Word document, find the comment you want to edit. The comment should be visible on the right side of the document. Click in the comment and edit the text for that comment.
The Can Approve Feed Post and Comment permission is a powerful option to consider when assigning editorial capability. Users with this permission can edit and delete the posts and comments of any person in the Chatter feeds that they have access to.
Open Microsoft Word. Choose the Review tab at the top of the document. Either click the Track Changes button (PC) or toggle the Track Changes switch (Mac). Make sure that you change 'Simple Markup' to 'All Markup' from the drop-down bar next to Track Changes.
Go to Review on the Ribbon. In the Tracking group in the middle, click the Track Changes button and from the drop-down select Track Changes.
Turn tracked changes on or off Open the document that you want to edit. On the Review tab, under Tracking, select the Track Changes switch to turn on track changes.
Open Microsoft Word. Choose the Review tab at the top of the document. Either click the Track Changes button (PC) or toggle the Track Changes switch (Mac). Make sure that you change 'Simple Markup' to 'All Markup' from the drop-down bar next to Track Changes.
Open the document. Go to File, Info. At the Check for Issues item if you see Allow this information to be saved in this file (see picture below), CLICK on that hyperlink. OTHERWISE, all the track changes will be of one color, and no identifying author will be on the document (and it cannot be changed).
To remove editor comments, open your document in Microsoft Word 2016 and click on the Review tab. In the screenshot below, the Track Changes icon is illuminated, indicating that the Track Changes feature is enabled. Click on the Track Changes icon to disable Track Changes.
