If the FAFSA was processed online but printed at the end to send in an actual signature page through the mail, then you can expect your SAR within two weeks, still arriving via email address provided. It will come through USPS if you did not provide an email address.
Submit your FAFSA without signatures. Your application will be partially processed without signatures, and you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) within 3-5 days. In order for your FAFSA to fully process, you'll need to return later to sign electronically.
Students who do not submit their financial aid applications until after the school year has begun should expect to receive an award letter within one to two months.
To sign your application electronically, click the “Log in" button on the FAFSA.gov home page to log in, and then click the “Provide Signatures" button. The student (and parent if required) will enter own their FSA ID and click “sign". You and your parent will each create your own FSA ID accounts only once.
Your parents (if you are a dependent student) can use their FSA IDs each year, too, and can even use their FSA IDs to sign FAFSA forms for your siblings. If you do not have a printer or an FSA ID, you can select the signature option Submit Without Signatures and submit your FAFSA form.

The best way to check your FAFSA application status is to log in to your FAFSA account online or by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center's toll-free number: 1-800-433-3243. To check your FAFSA status, you'll need your name, Social Security Number, date of birth, and your FSA ID (Federal Student Aid ID).

However, listing a college on your FAFSA is generally not sufficient to receive aid at that college, as most colleges do not create award packages for every applicant who lists the college on a FAFSA.

Processed Successfully: Even if your FAFSA is processed successfully, you should still review your Student Aid Report to ensure you didn't miss questions or provide incorrect information. If you didn't mean to leave them blank, or if you made another mistake, go back and update your FAFSA.
