How do I make black and white text outline in Word?

Under Word Art Tools, on the Format tab, in the Word Art Styles group, click Shape Outline, and then do one of the following: To add or change an outline color, click the color that you want. To choose no color, click No Outline.

How do you get white text on a black outline?

Use a text shadow to more subtly offset the font. Select the shadow by clicking the “Text Effects” button in the Word Art Styles section. Black text with a white outline or white text with a black outline will be visible on any background.

How do you add white text to a black border?

Create a white text layer, set the font to Impact and choose a correct size. Grow the selection just enough to fill the space with black. Keep the selection active, create a new layer underneath your text, fill it with black. Repeat the operation, you are done.

How do you outline text in Word?

Select your text or Word Art. Click Home > Text Effects. Click the effect you want. For more choices, point to Outline, Shadow, Reflection, or Glow, and then click the effect you want.

What does it mean to outline a font?

Outlined fonts means vector text that is no longer a font but rather is vector shapes. It eliminates issues for the printer not having the font.
