Go to Settings > Sound and Notification > App Notifications. Tap the app you want to stop. Tap the toggle for Block, which will never show notifications from this app.
When you block a phone number or contact, they can still leave a voicemail, but you won't get a notification. Messages that are sent or received won't be delivered. Also, the contact won't get a notification that the call or message was blocked.
From a Home screen, tap Contacts (located at the bottom). Tap the Menu icon (located in the upper-right). Tap Settings. Tap Call. Tap Call rejection. Tap Auto reject list. If desired, tap Unknown number to reject calls from unknown numbers. Enabled when a check mark is present. View or edit the list as desired.
From the call log Select the number you want to block, then hit More or the three-dot menu icon in the upper-right corner and choose To add to reject list. This will disable incoming calls from specific numbers.
