At first I did have problems figuring out how to use it. I don't see a "copy/paste" button and wish there was one. Overall, as I start to use it more and more I am liking it. Regards.

What is a MARC record? A MARC record is an MA chine-Readable Cataloging record. And what is a machine-readable cataloging record? Machine-readable: “Machine-readable” means that one particular type of machine, a computer, can read and interpret the data in the cataloging record.
MARC stands for Machine Readable Cataloging, and it is an encoding standard that provides a framework for library catalog records. Specifically, it is the framework for bibliographic records, which describe library resources both for search purposes and for patron information.
June 1967: Announced that operational MARC Distribution Service was in planning stages and MARC II design had begun At the end of the pilot project, approximately 50,000 MARC format records had been distributed and a report was issued in 1968 on the experience.
A field: Each bibliographic record is divided logically into fields. There is a field for the author, a field for title information, and so on. These fields are subdivided into one or more “subfields.” As previously noted, the textual names of the fields are too lengthy to be reproduced within each MARC record.
MARC (Machine-readable cataloging) standards are a set of digital formats for the description of items cataloged by libraries, such as books.
