Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
On average, bleeding will usually last 3-5 days but can range from 2-7 days. To figure out the length of your cycle, begin counting on the first day of bleeding (which is also called cycle day 1), until the first day of your next period. The average menstrual cycle is about 28 days, but it can vary quite a bit.
The day before your next period is the last day of your menstrual cycle. That's when you stop counting. That's how many days you had in your menstrual cycle that month. For instance, if you got your period on June 5 and your next period came on July 2, your cycle length was 27 days that month.
Starting on the first day of your last period, just count out the average number of days between your periods (aka your average cycle length that you calculated) and that gives you the projected start date of your next period.
This means that there will be about 28 days from the first day of your period to the first day of your next period. 28 days is an average number, but anywhere between 21 and 35 days is normal.
It's normal to have anywhere between 21 and 35 days between periods. The day menstruation begins is considered day one.
At the beginning or end of your period, blood can be a dark brown/red shade and can have a thick consistency but it's also normal for the first signs of your period to be bright red and more liquid.
At the bare minimum, you should keep track of the first day of your period each month. Keeping these details helps you and your doctor monitor your health more closely, and it can also help you prepare yourself for other symptoms related to menstruation.
