Easy to use Best thing about PDF Filler is ease of use. Very user friendly and have good support staff. Could offer more options for customizing but that is being picky.

Microsoft Word is a popular word processing software that is used by millions of people around the world. However, it is not natively available on Ubuntu, a popular open-source Linux distribution. This can lead to compatibility and installation challenges.
Ted is a lightweight free software word processor for the X Window System, and runs on Linux and other Unix-like systems. Developed primarily by Mark de Does, it's licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL-2.0-only), and has been translated into several languages.
LibreOffice Writer is a word processing suite similar in purpose to Microsoft Office's Word. It has all of the most common Word features — although these may be accessed in different ways — and some features that Word does not. I wrote this article, as a point of interest, in LibreOffice.
LibreOffice comes standard with most Linux distribution.
Find and replace text Go to Home > Replace. Enter the word or phrase you want to replace in Find what. Enter your new text in Replace with. Choose Replace All to change all occurrences of the word or phrase. ... To specify only upper or lowercase in your search, select More > Match case.
Yes it can, Ubuntu comes with Libreoffice writer installed it can open ms word files and can save them to ms word document format it supports . doc and also . docx format. Libreoffice is freeware and preinstalled so no need to it.
Ubuntu comes with LibreOffice as a part of the distribution. Open your file in LO Writer and edit. LO is claimed to be compatible with MS Office, but I'd rather say Word is compatible with LO Writer in that, that for most applications, LO Writer (and its native ODT format) is more stable and essentially fool-proof.
The Word Writer comes in-built in Ubuntu and is available in the Software launcher. The icon is encircled in red in the above screenshot. Once we click on the icon, the writer will launch. We can start typing in the Writer as we normally would do in Microsoft Word.
