It is sometimes difficult to understand how to use the different functionalities. Your "how to" guides focus on "push this button, then this" but are not focused on the end product (i.e. " how do you create a XXXX")

Go to Settings > Notifications. Tap the desired app. Tap On the lock screen. Now select Hide sensitive notification content.
Head over to the Settings. Tap Apps & notifications > Notifications. Tap the gear icon at the top right. Open On the lock screen option. Select Hide sensitive notification content.
Go to Settings > Notifications. To choose when you want most notification previews to appear, tap Show Previews, then select an optionally, When Unlocked, or Never. Tap Back, tap an app below Notification Style, then turn Allow Notifications on or off.
Go to Settings>Notifications and choose the apps you prefer. You have many options, and you can set, for example, only badges. Make some attempts, and you'll discover how they work. Just head over to Setting > Notifications > Click “Show Previews” and choose between Always, When Unlocked or Never.
Show Previews is when someone texts you, or you receive an app notification and your phone is locked, the notification will show you a preview of what the text or app says from the lock screen. You will need to unlock your iPhone to read the whole message.
Swipe down from the top of your phone's display and tap on the cog wheel. When you're in Settings, select Lock screen and security, and tap on Notifications on the lock screen option. If you only want to hide information from a particular app, just toggle off the button to the right for that app.
Tap Notification Grouping under Options at the bottom of the app's notification settings screen. Tap the Off option here to disable notification grouping for the app. You'll see each of the app's notifications appear alone in the notification center.
Open the Settings app and tap Notifications. Select the app you want to enable or disable group notifications for. Scroll down and tap Notification Grouping. On the Notification Grouping screen, select 'By App' to group notifications by app, or tap 'Off' to disable notification grouping.
