How can I reduce the file size of a PDF on a Mac?
Open the PDF file that you want to reduce in size. Double click it, and it should open in Preview, the default PDF viewer in macOS.
Pull down the File menu and select Export.
Choose the submenu next to Quartz Filter and choose To reduce File Size.
Save the new reduced version of the PDF as usual by hitting Save.
How do you change the size of a PDF on a Mac?
In the Preview app on your Mac, choose Preview > Preferences.
To choose how to display documents, click PDF or Images, then choose an option next to Define 100% scale as. To display a PDF or image at the same dimensions regardless of the screen's resolution: Select Size on screen equals size on printout.
How do I reduce the MB size of a PDF on a Mac?
In the Preview app on your Mac, open the PDF, then choose File > Export. (Don't choose Export as PDF.)
