On the Home tab, in the Views group, click View, and then click Data sheet View. On the Fields tab, in the Add & Delete group, click More Fields. Select a field in the More Fields list to insert the new column. Access places the field to the right of the column where your cursor is currently located.

Like everyone else said, use the + sign to concatenate strings. If you need to concatenate numbers, you have to STR(Your number) to concatenate them.

Note: For cube (multidimensional) data sources, you must select levels from different hierarchies. In Tableau, cube data sources are supported only in Windows.
