Can ticket get confirmed after chart preparation?

If you have a waiting list ticket, it can only get confirmed before chart preparation. Once the chart is prepared, if you are still on a waiting list, then your ticket won't be confirmed. You will then have to talk to the TC to confirm your ticket if some seats are left vacant.

Can status change after chart preparation?

Yes, the tickets booked online by IRCC website get cancelled automatically if all passengers on the ticket remain waitlisted even after preparation of chart. This is applicable for both general and total quota. The current reservation status of my ticket is in waiting list (WE 3, WE 4, WE 5, WE 6).

Is there any chance of ticket confirmation after chart preparation?

If you have a waiting list ticket, it can only get confirmed before chart preparation. Once the chart is prepared, if you are still on a waiting list, then your ticket won't be confirmed. You will then have to talk to the TC to confirm your ticket if some seats are left vacant.

Can RAC status change after chart preparation?

If you have a ticket with RAC status, you can get onto the train, but you'll get a seat to sit instead of a full berth. If a user has been issued an RAC ticket, then most likely his ticket will get confirmed by the time of chart preparation, and he will get a berth. You'll get a full berth if it shows RAC15/CNF.

What happens to waitlisted tickets after chart preparation?

According to IR CTC cancellation rules, if waitlisted e-Tickets (GOAL, PAWL, and RLL) remain waitlisted even after the charts are prepared, the names of such passengers will be removed from the reservation chart. The refund will be automatically processed by IR CTC after deducting the clerk age fee.

What is waiting list after chart preparation?

The movement of waitlist queue stops after the Final Chart is prepared which is usually done about 3-4 hours before the departure of the train. All the waitlist tickets booked online (which have not progressed to RAC) are automatically cancelled and refunds are credited to the passenger's account.

Can RLL be confirmed after chart preparation?

Remote location stations prepare their own chart 2-3 hours before the actual departure of the train. RLL confirmation chances are usually very low. If the status of the RLL tickets remains waitlisted once the chart preparation is done, the ticket is automatically cancelled, and the refund is credited as per rules.
