It was pretty easy to use except when you hit the next tab it would take me to the text box to type but it would not allow me to type until I moved my mouse to that location and click. It would be easier if it would allow you to type in the box it moved you to so you don't have to keep going back and forth to the mouse. Also some boxes when completed there was not an option to click "next.

Footer, footing. Continuous 8" or 10" thick concrete pad installed before and supports the foundation wall or mono-post.
A footer is a typing term. ... Footer drives me nuts, as one who was trained using the word footing, which is the proper term. No, there's no difference. In New York, where I primarily practice, the only word used is footing.
Definition. Footer, footing. Continuous 8" or 10" thick concrete pad installed before and supports the foundation wall or mono-post.
Footings are an important part of foundation construction. They are typically made of concrete with rebar reinforcement that has been poured into an excavated trench. The purpose of footings is to support the foundation and prevent settling. Footings are especially important in areas with troublesome soils.
A grade beam differs from a wall footing because a grade beam is designed for bending and typically spans between pile caps or caissons, while a wall footing bears on soil and transmits the weight of the wall directly into the ground.
Frequently a concrete footer is 20, 24 or even 30 inches wide and at least 8-inches thick. More often than not you'll see them 10-inches thick. The average foundation wall is usually only 8-inches thick (wide).
Footers must be a minimum of 24 inches deep. There must be a minimum of 6 inches of concrete in the footer, 2 story home-8 inches deep. Rebars are required in dwellings. Either 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch is permitted.
Minimum depth of footing to be 24 inches below final grade and 12 inches below existing grade. Footing size to be based on allowable soil pressure of 2000 pounds per square foot. Anchor Bolts are to be 1/2 inch diameter, within 12 inches of corners and placed a MAXIMUM 6 feet o.c.
The embedment depth depends on the soil characteristics, and most jurisdictions require an engineer's soil analysis. A typical pile length for residential homes is between 20 and 60 feet.
