Open the document you want to convert into a PDF. Go to File > Export > Create PDF/XPS. Select PDF as your chosen file type. Pick a level of optimization (either Standard or Minimum size) Choose a name and location for the new file. Click Publish to create a PDF file.
Open Microsoft Word. Click “File,” “Open” and select the large Word file you want to convert to PDF. Click “File” and select “Print.” Click “PDF” and select “Save as PDF” inside the print menu. Title the PDF and click the “Save” button. Repeat these steps for other large Word files you would like to convert to PDF.
Download and install the Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS add-in. Right-click on the document to save as PDF, and then select Open from the context menu. Click the Microsoft Office button located in the top left corner of the Word window. Click Save As. Select PDF or XPS from the Save As menu.
