I love the program. The smart folder...not a fan. Do not like that we have to "tag" them and I would prefer to just make and name my own folders and move PDF docs into them as I wish (like windows mail).

Overall, the application is useful. The only issues that I have been experiencing is some of the edits I make either reappear, or are placed on top of the existing text.

For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
A copyright assignment agreement must be in writing but need not be witnessed by a notary public.
A copyright assignment is the transfer of copyright ownership rights from one party to another. This transfer is not valid unless it is in writing and signed by the owner or its authorized agent. If you want to transfer a right on a non-exclusive basis, a written agreement is usually not required.
A copyright assignment is when the copyright holder transfers ownership of the copyright to another person or organization. Debates have popped into court over who actually owns a copyright. So like any other contract, an assignment must be in writing in order to avoid any future confusion.
The USPTO does not require patent assignments to be notarized. The patent office only requires that the assignment be executed and signed by both the assignor and the assignee. So, if you're an assignee, make sure to record your assignment as soon as it's executed to avoid problems.
A patent assignment is a part of how to patent and idea and is an irrevocable agreement for a patent owner to sell, give away, or transfer his or her interest to an assignee, who can benefit from and enforce the patent. Assignment of Rights — Patent Application: This is for patents still in the application process.
A patent assignment is a part of how to patent and idea and is an irrevocable agreement for a patent owner to sell, give away, or transfer his or her interest to an assignee, who can benefit from and enforce the patent. Assignment of Rights — Patent Application: This is for patents still in the application process.
The assignee is the entity that has the property right to the patent. Patents are property. The inventor and the assignee may be one and the same but an employee will more than likely assign a patent to a company. The assignment of a patent is independent of the inventorship.
Start at uspto.gov/patft. Next, under the heading Related USPTO Services, click on Tools to Help To search by Patent Classification. You can now start searching. Patent searches may also be done at google.com/patents and at a number of other free sites.
As far as patent applications are concerned, applicant basically means the owner. A patent applicant specifically refers to a person (which may also be a company aka juristic person) who has the right to apply for the patent in other words, the patent owner.
Change of Owner (Assignment) and Change of Owner Name The original owner should record the assignment or name change with the USPTO's Assignment Decoration Branch by filing a Recordation Cover Sheet along with a copy of the actual assignment or proof of name change.
Filing the Assignment with the USPTO You are required to fill out the form and submit a copy of the executed transfer agreement in order to complete the assignment process the assignment is typically processed within one business day if filed online. There is also a $40 filing fee to record the trademark assignment.
In the IP field we typically use nun pro tunc in the context of an assignment of a patent, trademark or copyright. The nun pro tunc assignment becomes the subject matter for a blog post when someone back-dates an assignment to try to cure a standing defect.
