How do I fix a busy fax line?

Make sure you have the right number. Whenever we've found a really busy (or no answer) fax line, it's usually because we have the wrong number. If at first you don't succeed Try, try again. Schedule for late at night. Or get up late at night. Call and ask for alternates.

Why do faxes fail?

When you get this error, simply retry sending your fax when you know the other end will answer or have their fax machine on auto answer. The Failed (Communication error) could occur for different reasons: The call was disconnected before the fax could be sent. This may be due to a call clarity issue.

What does it mean when a fax says busy no response?

The message 'No Response/Busy' on your Brother machine indicates that the number you attempted to send to was busy or did not respond to your incoming fax. The problem may be related to your line connection. Make sure the telephone cord is connected from your wall telephone jack to your Brother machine's LINE jack.
