A deposit tag is a five character code that will post along with the deposit information on your bank account. For me, my bank reports Square deposits as SQUARE 181226 P2, where the 1812 part is the date of deposit.
You can track your money in the Sales > Transfers section of your Square Dashboard. Just visit Sales > Transfers to view all your transfer details. From the Transfers view, you can download a full transfer history, see a full calendar of transfers, and identify which payments were included in each transfer.
Square Cash can deposit funds at two speeds: standard or instant. If you select the standard deposit option, it may take up to three days for the deposit to post in your bank account. It may take longer if the banks are closed on a national holiday or weekend.
With Square, you can choose when to receive your funds. We won't hold funds based on the amount, frequency, or type of transaction. If you're having trouble locating a transfer, review these transfer schedule tips.
Instant Transfers Sometimes you need your money immediately that's when instant transfer can help. If it's available on your account, you can instantly send funds to your linked bank account 24 hours a day, 7 days week, for a fee of 1% of the deposit total.
