1. What to put on your baby shower invite? Dad-to-be is usually included if the baby shower will be a co-ed shower. When baby is included, it is common to add baby's last name if the first name isn't known or isn't being shared.
Typically, you should use her full name. However, if she has a well-known nickname, that's okay, too. If it's a shower for the couple, include the spouse or partner's name as well. If the couple knows what they're naming the baby and don't mind sharing it, you can include that, too.
What information should the baby shower invitations include? Be sure to include the name of the mother-to-be, the date, time, and location of the shower, the RSVP date and contact information (i.e. telephone, e-mail, or mail).
Keep the envelopes uniform by writing them out in blue or black ink. Use titles. Write both names of a couple on the envelope, if both are invited and live in the same household. Use abbreviations and ampersands only in titles or if they are part of an actual word.
Many retailers will provide registry cards for such use in store. Or, if you'd rather be surprised and go registry-free, it's acceptable to include notes on the invitation such as "the nursery is purple and pink" or "Annie's expecting a boy."
The easiest way to include shower registry information, simply tuck this card inside your envelope along with your invitation to inform guests where the parents-to-be are registered and any special instructions you may have.
Use black or blue ink to address envelopes. Use titles. Address married couples as Mr. Address an unmarried couple that lives together as Mr. Address a single woman as Miss Jane Doe.
