About XML digital signatures Select or open an XML file and choose a certificate to sign a document. Afterwards, the signature can be verified using the public key stored in the same certificate. The public key can also be written to the signature to allow verification without access to the certificate.
DigestValue is a value of the digest calculated over the signed nodes, and SignatureValue is the signature of the digest, made using the key, information about which (key) is specified in Keying. You need to refer to XMLDSig standard for more details.
Decrypts the signature (2) with the public key to obtain a message, supposedly the same message as (1) but we don't know yet. Encrypt the original message (1) with the public key to obtain a hash. Encrypt the decrypted message (3) to get a second hash and compare to (4) to verify that they are identical.
Digestible is a value of the digest calculated over the signed nodes, and SignatureValue is the signature of the digest, made using the key, information about which (key) is specified in Keying. You need to refer to XMLDSig standard for more details.
The XML canonicalization method is the algorithm defined by this specification that generates the canonical form of a given XML document or document subset. The term XML cannibalization refers to the process of applying the XML cannibalization method to an XML document or document subset.
