Double-click within the text block containing the table and select the rows or columns of the table you want to format. The Table ribbon is displayed. Click Edit Table from the Table group and select the appropriate menu option as follows: Insert Row. Adds a new row to the table. Insert Column.
Do one of the following: To select. Do this. A cell. Click the left edge of the cell. . A row. Click to the left of the row. A column. Under Table Tools, click the Layout tab. In the Rows & Columns group, click Delete, and then click Delete Cells, Delete Rows, or Delete Columns, as appropriate.
Select the table. Select the Layout tab. Select the cells you want to modify. Click an alignment command to change the text alignment in the table. The alignment commands are:
Move the cursor to the location in the document where you want to create the table. Click the Table button in the Elements tool, or choose Table from the Insert menu. The Table dialog displays. Enter the initial number of rows and columns for the new table, and specify the border width, etc. Click the Confirm button.
Select your table. On the Layout tab, in the Cell Size group, click AutoFit. Do one of the following. To adjust column width automatically, click AutoFit Contents. To adjust table width automatically, click AutoFit Window.
Select any cell in your table. The Design tab will appear on the Ribbon. From the Design tab, click the Resize Table command. Resize Table command. Directly on your spreadsheet, select the new range of cells you want your table to cover. You must select your original table cells as well. Click OK.
Select the table. Two new tabs Design and Layout appear on the Ribbon. On Design tab you will see three groups of commands to modify table. Table Style Options, Table Styles and Draw Borders.
