Enter your high-level trip details on the Create a trip page accessed via any + Add a trip link. Note: You can only specify one primary destination when creating a trip. After creating the trip shell, click Add plans. Select the type of plan you want to add and we'll walk you through the rest.
Once you've forwarded your SXSW hotel or Airbnb confirmation to plans@tripit.com, you can click the Map link on your itinerary, then search for and add can't-miss places like Allen's Boots or Stubb's BBQ to your itinerary.
Currently there is no option to attach a PDF file to your trip. The best work-around we can suggest is to create your doc as a . Jpg and add it using the Add photo link at the bottom of the Edit page (options > edit)
Example: You have identified your ideal itinerary: You have come to a Trip Summary screen or some other screen which shows the full itinerary, dates and price, see example here. Save your web page as a PDF to your local machine: Click File → Print -> Save As PDF (this process will vary slightly by browser).
Once you receive your airline travel confirmation via email, simply forward it to plans@tripit.com to have an itinerary created for the duration of your trip. You can even forward hotel, car rental and restaurant confirmations or have it auto-imported from your Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook account.
