Click inside the cell of the spreadsheet where you want to insert the object. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Object. Click the Creation from File tab. Click Browse, and select the file you want to insert.
Open the Excel file that you want to embed a text file in. Select the cell that you want the contents of the file to appear in. Go to the Data tab and click Get External Data. From the menu, select the Form Text option.
