A design brief is something that is vital to any design project as it will provide the designer(s) with all the information needed to exceed your expectations. A design brief should primarily focus on the results and outcomes of the design and the business objectives of the design project.
A design brief is a document for a design project developed by a person or team (the designer or design team) in consultation with the client. They outline the deliverables and scope of the project including any products or works (function and aesthetics), timing and budget.

These are often a mix of goals, functions, means, constraints, and specifications. Constraints — Constraints are strict limits that a design must meet in order to be acceptable. They limit the size of the design space. Metrics — Metrics measure how well the objectives are met.
Please tell us how much your budget is. Outline your objectives, but don't prescribe the solution. Give us as much background information as you can. Be really clear on what's in scope and what's out. If there are critical project dates, tell us. Let us know a bit about your team and how you work.
A Creative Brief is used to succinctly describe all the stuff the creative group plans to do to promote a new product. An experience brief uses that same concept but helps define the experiences a customer should experience while using your website.

Reports should be in plain English. Do not give into the academic urge to use 12 words when one will do. Break your reports into clear and simple sections. No-one likes a wall of text. Keep the reports honest. Keep reports as short as possible.
