The default way to store a date in a MySQL database is by using DATE. The proper format of a DATE is: YYYY-MM-DD. If you try to enter a date in a format other than the Year-Month-Day format, it might work, but it won't be storing the dates as you expect.
How Are Dates Stored In SQL Server? Internally dates are stored as 2 integers. The first integer is the number of dates before or after the base date (1900/01/01). The second integer stores the number of clock ticks after midnight, each tick is 1300 of a second.
By default, Oracle uses CE date entries if BCE is not used explicitly. Oracle Database has its own propriety format for storing date data. It uses fixed-length fields of 7 bytes, each corresponding to century, year, month, day, hour, minute, and second to store date data.
When you insert a TIMESTAMP value into a table, MySQL converts it from your connection's time zone to UTC for storing. When you query a TIMESTAMP value, MySQL converts the UTC value back to your connection's time zone. Note that this conversion does not take place for other temporal data types such as DATE TIME .

What is the difference between MySQL DATE TIME and TIMESTAMP data type? Range: Datetime data type supports a date along with time in the range between 1000-01-01 :00 and 9999-12-31 :59. On the other hand, timestamp datatype requires 4 bytes along with 3 additional bytes for fractional seconds' data storing.

To add criteria to an Access query, open the query in Design view and identify the fields (columns) you want to specify criteria for. If the field is not in the design grid, double-click the field to add it to the design grid and then enter the criterion in the Criteria row for that field.
