A faxed copy of a document is not the original and, obviously, neither is a copy of an original document. In other words, is a contract still legally binding if the only signatures on record are faxed copies? The short answer is that it depends.
A fax (short for facsimile and sometimes called telecopying) is the telephonic transmission of scanned-in printed material (text or images), usually to a telephone number associated with a printer or other output device. The receiving fax machine reconverts the coded image and prints a paper copy of the document.
A contract or legal agreement containing a photocopied or faxed signature is deemed valid and enforceable in most states. If a document is a simple contract between parties, a fax is okay to use but an original signed document is better.
Find a blank sheet of paper and mark it up with your finest, most regal signature. Open the SignEasy iOS app. Navigate to Signature & Initials Tap on Add Signature and select the option to scan.

A faxed signature is legally recognised as valid and is often used to confirm or approve many business and financial deals. If a contractual agreement is broken, and there is a denial that any agreement took place, a fax of the original signed document is deemed to be sufficient evidence in court.
Most fax machines (that don't have two paper drawers) will just split it onto two pages, or shrink the text down if legal-size paper is not loaded into it. (However, this presumes that the recipient's fax machine is able to receive legal-size faxes.) You could also resize the document to 8.5 x 11.
Press the or button to specify the reduction or enlargement ratio (25 - 400%). Press and hold down the or button to quickly advance through the ratios. Note: To scan a legal-sized document onto letter-sized paper, select 85%
Having a scanned signature(s) on a document is valid. This has to be the case in a world where we are more likely to work with someone geographically far, than local. To reiterate, having a scanned signature on a contract is perfectly acceptable under law. But acceptance isn't the issue.
A scanned signature is binding so long as it's a signature to show acceptance.
