I have had to upgrade twice to professional and just did again so I could use the features. Billing does not show that the upgrades were put in place.

A hypervisor (or virtual machine monitor, VMM) is computer software, firmware or hardware that creates and runs virtual machines. The hypervisor presents the guest operating systems with a virtual operating platform and manages the execution of the guest operating systems.
There are two types of hypervisors: Type 1 hypervisor: hypervisors run directly on the system hardware A bare metal embedded hypervisor, Type 2 hypervisor: hypervisors run on a host operating system that provides virtualization services, such as I/O device support and memory management.
A hypervisor, also known as a virtual machine monitor, is a process that creates and runs virtual machines (VMs). A hypervisor allows one host computer to support multiple guest VMs by virtually sharing its resources, like memory and processing.
Hypervisor. A hypervisor (or virtual machine monitor, VMM) is computer software, firmware or hardware that creates and runs virtual machines. A computer on which a hypervisor runs one or more virtual machines is called a host machine, and each virtual machine is called a guest machine.

What is the main function of a hypervisor? It is a device that filters and checks security credentials. It is used to create and manage multiple VM instances on a host machine. Furthermore, it is used by ISPs to monitor cloud computing resources.
The role of a hypervisor is to emulate the underlying hardware resources of a set of virtual machines running on the host. In Linux, Docker uses kernel features. It does not use any hypervisor. They use a Virtual machine to run Linux and docker on it.
Virtual machines (VM) are managed by a hypervisor and utilize VM hardware (a), while container systems provide operating system services from the underlying host and isolate the applications using virtual-memory hardware (b).
Docker isn't a virtualization methodology. Docker primarily focuses on automating the deployment of applications inside application containers. Application containers are designed to package and run a single service, whereas system containers are designed to run multiple processes, like virtual machines.
In Linux, Docker uses kernel features. It does not use any hypervisor. In Mac, Docker desktop uses Apple Hypervisor. They use a Virtual machine to run Linux and docker on it.
Linux containers. LXC is a userspace interface for the Linux kernel containment features. Through a powerful API and simple tools, it lets Linux users easily create and manage system or application containers. What is LED? Daemon based on liblxc offering a REST API to manage containers.
Open Event Viewer. Click Start, click Administrative Tools, and then click Event Viewer. Open the Hyper-V-Hypervisor event log. If Windows hypervisor is running, no further action is needed. Open the System log. Look for events from Hyper-V-Hypervisor for more information.
