I mainly use it to edit papers for my teaching position; it's been very useful to not alter the original format while adding my view point freely on the document.

For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Find out where to send your request. Ask your child's teacher who to send your request to. Write a formal letter. Be specific about why you're requesting the evaluation. Consent to your child being evaluated. Make sure the letter arrives. Follow up.
Screening (informal interview, brief test, career interest inventories, and/or review of medical, school, or work histories) Evaluation (formal testing for achievement, intelligence, and processing) Diagnosis (a statement specifying the results of the assessment, including the type of LD identified)
Lack of enthusiasm for reading or writing. Trouble memorizing things. Working at a slow pace. Trouble following directions. Trouble staying focused on a task. Difficulty understanding abstract ideas. Lack of attention to detail, or too much attention to detail. Poor social skills.
Learning disabilities are traditionally diagnosed by conducting two tests and noticing a significant discrepancy between their scores. These tests are an intelligence (or IQ) test and a standardized achievement (reading, writing, arithmetic) test.

Problems reading and/or writing. Problems with math. Poor memory. Problems paying attention. Trouble following directions. Clumsiness. Trouble telling time. Problems staying organized.
Put the date on your letter. Give your child's full name and the name of your child's main teacher or current class placement. Say what you want, rather than what you don't want. Give your address and a daytime phone number where you can be reached.
Accountability starts with you. Lead with solutions. Be forthcoming - but brief - regarding setbacks. Report the facts of your success. Prove your worth. Write short.
The first step in getting an IEP is requesting an evaluation to determine if your child has a disability. You can make the request through your child's teacher, a school administrator or the school district office.
Review Your Child's Progress Reports. Research IEP Goals. Select Achievable Goals. Prep The Teachers. Include Social Goals. Get a rough draft of the IEP. Review & Compare. Return The Revised Draft.
Begin with a direct statement clearly stating the letter's purpose. Include the full names of yourself, your child, and the person you are granting permission to. If the child has another custodian or parent, write the letter together if possible.
Parent Response to Proposed Evaluation Plan Parents/guardians have at least 15 calendar days from receipt of proposed assessment plan to arrive at a decision. Contact the parent after 15 calendar days of receipt of the assessment plan to inquire about their response to the plan.
The general guideline is 60 days. But, some states have shortened it to 30 or 45, so check your state's reg son this. Also, it may be 60 school days, depending on your state. So if you make a request in May, it could be September or October until your evaluation is complete.
The school district must respond to your request for an IDEA assessment within 15 days of receiving it (unless school is not in session; summer vacation for example). No specific timeframes apply to requests for Section 504 assessments, but you are entitled to a response within a reasonable period of time.
The law doesn't require an annual 504 plan re-evaluation. It only requires periodic re-evaluation, which is generally every three years or so. If there are significant changes in your child's needs or placement in school, then you may want to consider asking for a re-evaluation, in addition to a review.
