Main points. Air table is a relational database, which means that it's designed to represent the relationships between different concepts and/or objects. A linked record field represents a relationship between two different objects, ideas, or people. You can use it to link two tables together, like Artists and Albums.
Lookup configuration is pretty straightforward. First, you pick the field with the linked records you want to look up. Then, you pick the cell on those linked records that you want to display. Note that if there are multiple linked records, the lookup will concatenate the cell values and separate them with a comma.
Air table is an amazing tool. It's a mix between a spreadsheet and a database. As a developer you get to create a database with a very nice to use interface, with the ease of use and editing of a spreadsheet, and you can easily update your records even from a mobile app.

You can add a new record to a table if you have edit access to a base. Simply click the “+” in the bottom-left corner of the table. This will create a new empty record at the bottom of your table. You can also insert a record by right-clicking on a record and selecting “Insert record above/below” from the menu.
You can add a new field by clicking the + button in the header row. Alternatively, you can right-click on the header row, then select the menu option to Insert left or Insert right.
A record is the base equivalent of a row in a spreadsheet. Each record is basically an item in a list. For example, in a table of books, each record is a different book. Unlike a spreadsheet, a record in a mobile Air table base appears as a tappable card.
To open the field customization menu from a grid view, click on the dropdown arrow icon in the header of the field to bring up the field menu. From there, you can select the “Customize field type” option. Alternatively, you can double-click on the field header to open the customization menu.
