The program is awesome. Spectacular. Your business practices are manipulative and shady. As much as I like the actual experience of using your website, the way you rope people in to pay for the privilege only AFTER they finish their documents is clearly intentional and very very suspect. For that reason I will never recommend this to anyone.

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
You may be able to obtain a copy of the adoption record that is maintained by the superior court by filing a petition, under California Family Code 9200, in the clerk's office of the county superior court where the adoption was finalized.
The original copy of the birth certificate is normally placed in the adoption records and is sealed permanently. It is very common for the adoption records to be closed after the adoption is final.
In at least nine states Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Kansas, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island (for those 25 and older) and Oregon adult adoptees have unfettered access to those records, according to Nina Williams-Mbengue, who works on the issue at the National Conference of State Legislatures.
After the judge has approved the adoption application, and the process is finalized, the state will issue a new birth certificate. It may take some time for the new birth certificate to be issued, potentially up to a year.
When a child is adopted, along with finalization papers, an amended birth certificate (ABC) is issued which can show any or all of the information on the original but replaces the birth parents' names with those of the adoptive parents, and the child's name given at birth with the new name (if this is being changed).
Negotiate with your biological parents and/or their representatives through a confidential intermediary. This is only an option if your parents are still alive (if they are dead, it is usually easier to unseal adoption records). Use the intermediary to explain your reasoning for wanting the records unsealed.
Closed adoptions are rare in the United States, but remain common in international adoptions and were the norm in adoptions in the past, when families usually used an agency to adopt a newborn.
How Do I Find My Birth Parents in a Closed Adoption? Then you need to check out the mutual consent adoption registries. Most states have one, but there are others as well. You will search for your date of birth and location and look for an entry that fits you.
In the United States, there are laws protecting adoption records from the public once an adoption is finalized. States and agencies can release non-identifying on the adopted, Adoptive Parents, and Birth Parents.
When you apply to the Registrar General for access to Birth Records they will explain the process. You can go to your local authority, the voluntary agency which arranged your adoption, an Adoption Support Agency or at the General Register Office.
If you were adopted but don't have your birth records You can organize this through your local council, an adoption agency or through the General Register Office. They will be able to access your adoption records through the agency that arranged your adoption, or the court that approved your adoption.
