Technically, you can't “merge" two credit cards, even if both cards were issued by the same company. However, you can make a balance transfer, which allows you to move the balance of one card to another card -- ideally, a card with a lower interest rate.
Combining credit cards lets you merge balances and credit limits of two cards, but you have to close one of the cards. This is useful because Capital One limits you to only two cards. So if you want another Capital One card, your only option is to merge your two cards to free up some space.

Debt Stacking Start by ordering your debts from the highest interest to the lowest. Next, pay the minimum balance on all of your credit cards and put whatever money is left in your budget toward the debt with the highest interest rate. Go to Accounting. Select Chart of Accounts. Find one of the credit card account you wanted to merge. Under ACTION, select the View register menu. Click Edit. Enter the name the same as your other credit card account. Select Save and Close.
Click the Gear icon in the top right corner. Select Account and Settings. Choose the Billing and Subscription tab. In the top section, you'll see your credit card information beside of Payment method. Click Edit to enter your new card information.
Your bank or credit card company will allow you to change your contact information either through their website or over the phone. Use the customer service number printed on the back of your card to call your credit card issuer.
Select Chart of Accounts. Right-click your bank account, and then choose Edit Account. Change your account number. Click Save and Close.
Click the Gear icon in the top right corner. Select Account and Settings. Choose the Billing and Subscription tab. In the top section, you'll see your credit card information beside of Payment method. Click Edit to enter your new card information.
Click Invoicing from the left menu. Choose Invoices, and click View/Edit to open the invoice transaction. Under Payment Status, click the 1 payment link and click on the Date hyperlink. Click the More tab and choose Delete. Click Yes to confirm.
Go to Settings and select Account and Settings. Select the Advanced tab. Select Edit in the Chart of accounts section. Select Enable account numbers. If you want account numbers to show on reports and transactions, select Show account numbers. Select Save and then Done.
Go to Settings and select Payroll Settings. Under Bank Accounts, select Company. Select Update. Select Connect using your routing and account numbers to enter new bank account information. Enter your new bank account information, then select Submit.
