It's a good and intuitive product. the only technical glitch is that some of the larger text boxes are shifted over to the right by a fraction of an inch and outside the printable area of most printers.

You can start creating a new merge request by clicking the New merge request button on the Merge Requests page in a project. Then choose the source project and branch that contain your changes, and the target project and branch where you want to merge the changes into.
Use the base branch dropdown menu to select the branch you'd like to merge your changes into, then use the compare branch drop-down menu to choose the topic branch you made your changes in. Type a title and description for your pull request. To create a pull request that is ready for review, click Create Pull Request.
Familiarize yourself with the context of the issue, and reasons why this Pull Request exists. If you disagree strongly, consider giving it a few minutes before responding. Think before you react. Ask, don't tell. Explain your reasons why code should be changed. Offer ways to simplify or improve code.
6 Answers. GitLab's “merge request” feature is equivalent to GitHub's “pull request” feature. Both are means of pulling changes from another branch or fork into your branch and merging the changes with your existing code. A “merge request” should not be confused with the git merge command.
Step 1 Before creating new merging request, there should be a created branch in the GitLab. Step 2 Login to your GitLab account and go to your project under Projects section Step 3 Click on the Merge Requests tab and then click on the New merge request button
