Bullets and Numbering is a paragraph level attribute that applies a bullet character or a numeral to the start of the paragraph. Applying a bullet is straightforward; numbering is a bit more complicated.
Click a bullet or number in the list that you want to change. ... On the Home tab, under Paragraph, click the arrow next to Bullets or Numbering. Click the bullet or numbering list format that you want in the Bullet Library or the Numbering Library.
Within your Microsoft document, place your cursor or highlight the text where you wish to insert a bulleted list. Under the [Home] tab in the Paragraph section, click the [Bullets] drop-down menu. Choose a bullet style or select “Bullets and Numbering to create a customized bullet style.
