PDF filler is great! it allows me to update an existing PDF document relatively easy and quick. Love that about PDF filler! I like how user-friendly it is. Definitely easy to use, even for a beginner! It also enhances the PDF file you are trying to update. I think every feature within PDF filler should be available to a paying member and not have these tiered membership structures.

What is the modified date on a file?

Hi Carolina, With regard to your concern, the Date Modified is actually the date when the file was created. It should not change when you send it. The created date is when the file was originally created and the modified date is from the last time you've modified the file.

Does copy a file change the date modified?

Time/Date Modified: This is also called the Last Written date. Whenever the contents of the file are changed, or files are added to or deleted from a directory, this time stamp changes. Renaming the file doesn't change the modification time stamp. All does opening the file without making any changes to it.

How do you keep a date modified when copying?

Just hold Shift and drag the folder to the new location (move command). Date Modified will be the present date but Date Created will retain the original date. Xcopy works fine for this. Just specify the /k flag to copy attributes.

How do I save a file without changing the date modified?

Download and install Stefan's Tools Timestamp. ... Right click (or ALT+ENTER) on the file you want to edit without changing its modification date. ... Go to the newly added Timestamps tab. Leave this Properties' dialog open. Edit the file as you would normally.
