Can you notarize an electronic signature in Georgia?
Under the Act, an electronic signature will satisfy that requirement. The Act also allows a notary public to notarize the signature of another electronically. An electronic signature can be an electronic sound, symbol, or process.
Can you notarize an emailed document?
Can I Email Documents To Be Notarized Elsewhere? No, not unless the signer is personally appearing before the Notary at the other branch at the time of the notarization to be identified by the Notary in that branch and to sign the documents.
Can a notary witness an electronic signature?

If the document has already been signed, the signer can sign his or her name again above or next to the first signature. You can then proceed with the notarization.
What happens if you notarize something incorrectly?
What happens if a notary makes a mistake? The National Notary Association suggests that even the smallest mistake could have dire consequences. The notarized document could get rejected. A mistake that results in a rejection can result in late fees and penalties on the part of the client.
Does a document have to be signed in front of a notary?
To get something notarized, you must sign it in the presence of a notary public. The notary must actually watch as you sign the document. So, DO NOT SIGN your document before meeting the notary public. The notary will either refuse your document or require that you sign it again in front of them.

Is scanned copy a legal document in India?
As per Section 65-B of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 any information contained in an electronic record produced by a computer in printed, stored or copied form shall be deemed to be a document, and it can be admissible as evidence in any proceeding without further proof of the original.

In most cases, the notary can only notarize a document if it's signed in their presence as well. Once you have the document notarized, faxing isn't usually an option. Make a copy if you want one for your own records, but mail the original through one-day USPS services.
Can a copy of a signature be notarized?
A photocopy or fax may be notarized, but only if it bears an original signature. That is, the copy must have been signed with pen and ink. A photocopied or faxed signature may never be notarized. When carbon copies are made, the Notary will sometimes be asked to conform rather than to notarize the copies.
What can a notary not sign?
A notary cannot proceed if the document is not original, bearing the signer's original, wet-ink signature (not a photocopy or fax of a signed document). A notary cannot proceed if the required notarial act is not indicated by the document, the signer or someone connected to the document.
