You can add headers to the top and footers to the bottom of a worksheet. When you print the worksheet, the headers and footers also print. For example, you might create a header with the file path and a footer with page numbers. Headers and footers display only in Page Layout view and on printed pages.
Turn Off Headers/Footers in Edge First, click on the settings icons at the far right and then click on Print. On the following print dialog, you should see an option all the way at the bottom called Headers and Footers. Choose Off from the drop-down list.
Select Built-In Options Click the Insert tab in your open document in Microsoft Word. Select Header or Footer in the Header & Footer section on the ribbon to reveal a drop-down menu and the Built-In tool.
Double-click the header or footer you want to edit, or select Header or Footer, and then select Edit Header or Edit Footer. Add or change text for the header or footer or do any of the following: ... When you're done, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
Go to Insert > Header & Footer. On the top right side of the document, select Options > Remove Headers & Footers.
Edit the document's header or footer. Click the Header & Footer Tools Design tab. In the Header & Footer group, click the Header button. Choose Remove Header. The header is gone. Click the Footer button and choose Remove Footer.
