Plot formulas are simply story tools that writers from all walks -- novelists, screenwriters, copywriters, essayists, marketers -- can use effectively, despite what people may say or think about them.
(Learn how and when to remove this template message) In popular culture, formula fiction is literature in which the storylines and plots have been reused to the extent that the narratives are predictable. It is similar to genre fiction, which identifies a number of specific settings that are frequently reused.

The formula (or masala) film, refers to the key ingredients that go into the making of a film. Music, archetypal characters and star actors were all essential components from the 1940s, and by the 1980s they had become much more exaggerated.
The parts of a plot in a story include the exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution. The five parts work together to build suspense, and flow together smoothly to create a unified story line.
In a story we follow a character or a series of characters on a journey as they pursue something up against certain obstacles. Okay, that's a beginning. ... A story is the telling of an event, either true or fictional, in such a way that the listener experiences or learns something just by the fact that he heard the story.
Give a classic a cool twist. The classics can give you a great 'template' for a modern novel. ... Kill someone in chapter one. Nothing sparks a plot like a character dying in the opening scenes. ... Start with setting. ... Mine your own life. ... Make anti-plot work for you.
County assessors, public works and community development departments, or local planning offices keep copies of plot plans. Local governments frequently offer the plans as part of tax assessment records, and many larger communities make these available online, linking the plans from the website of the county offices.
In many areas, you can obtain a copy of the site plan from the local government. Most counties, cities and towns keep a record of all site plans for all properties within the jurisdiction. These plans can be obtained by contacting the town or city's building office of the clerk's office.
Visit the county recorder's office or the assessor's office. Ask what maps are available for public viewing that include your neighborhood and street. Request a copy of any maps that show clear dimensions of your property lines. Use the maps for reference when measuring your property's total boundary line on each side.
