I had a difficult time with it and it took a long time just to fill out passport forms for my wife and I. I just could not get the hang for it, but someone smarter than me and maybe younger, I am 72, will do much better with PDF filler.

To comment out the end of a statement, put the comment character, %, before the comment. When you run the file, MATLAB ignores any text on the line after the %. To comment out text within a multiline statement, use the ellipsis (...).
If you are using the MATLAB editor, you can highlight the block of code that you want to comment then select the “Text→Comment” menu item or type a Control-R to comment the whole block. To uncomment the block, once again select the block of code, select “Text→Uncomment” or type Control-T key combination.
Select the code you wish to comment or uncomment, and then press Ctrl-R (-/ for Mac) to place one '%' symbol at the beginning of each line and Ctrl-T (-T for Mac) to do the opposite. MATLAB also supports multi-line comments, akin to /* ... */ in languages like C or C++, via the %{and %} delimiters.
R Studio (and Eclipse + State): Highlight the text and use CTRL + SHIFT + C to comment multiple lines in Windows. Or, command + SHIFT + C in OS-X.
A code section contains contiguous lines of code that you want to evaluate as a group in a MATLAB script, beginning with two comment characters (%%).
In the C/C++ editor, select multiple line(s) of code to comment out. To comment out multiple code lines right-click and select Source > Add Block Comment. (CTRL+SHIFT+/) To uncomment multiple code lines right-click and select Source > Remove Block Comment. (CTRL+SHIFT+\\)
Comment lines begin with the character '%', and anything after a '%' character is ignored by the interpreter. The % character itself only tells the interpreter to ignore the remainder of the same line. In the MATLAB Editor, commented areas are printed in green by default, so they should be easy to identify.
If you are using the MATLAB editor, you can highlight the block of code that you want to comment then select the “Text→Comment” menu item or type a Control-R to comment the whole block. To uncomment the block, once again select the block of code, select “Text→Uncomment” or type Control-T key combination.
Click in a text line, or select multiple lines of text. From the Edit menu, select one of the following: Comment > Line(s), or click the Comment Lines toolbar button. Uncomment > Line(s), or click the Uncomment Lines toolbar button.
To comment out a large block of code in the Editor or Live Editor, select the code and on the “Editor” or “Live Editor” tab, click the “Comment” button. This inserts a “%” symbol in front of each selected line. Alternatively, select the code and type “Ctrl” + “R”.
