Cut the paper trail and faxing Instead of faxing documents, I just get them emailed. The documents are more clear, it's fast, and I can sign and fill in easy without needing to fax it back. I love the signature button. This is so easy to use. Uploading and downloading is all I do now. My fax machine is obsolete. You have to download it to your computer from email, then upload it to pdf filler - at least that's how I do it.

You don't need your registration to find out the title number of your car. You can simply find it on the Certificate of Title itself. It's normally printed at the top or bottom of the document. But, the title number doesn't contain any valuable information about the vehicle or its owner.
Simply, visit your local office of the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and file a request. But, know that all states have different procedures for issuing duplicate titles. Some states allow people to apply for a duplicate title online. In others, you have to fill out an application in person.

Getting a Replacement Vehicle Registration Card Registration paperwork can easily be lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced. Getting a replacement is not difficult or expensive, and you can do it in-person at a DMV office, by mail, and online, depending on your location.
Call the local sheriff or deputy's office to report the incident. ... Call your state's department of motor vehicles (DMV) to report that your car's registration has been stolen. ... Contact your insurance company to report the incident, and tell the company representative that you have contacted the police and the DMV.
Go to your nearest registering authority and bring along your identity document and complete form DRC (Application for Duplicate Registration/Deregistration Certificate in respect of Motor Vehicle) and form DCT (Declaration in respect of Lost Documents). Bear in mind that only a titleholder can request a duplicate.
The title number is 8 digits long and can be located on the line above the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
You can find your title number on the Certificate of Title. The title number is usually eight digits long and is sometimes printed in a larger font. But, the location of the number on the paper differs from state to state. Some states place the number at the very top, and others have it at the bottom of the document.
