Under PCI DSS, the only allowable way to store this data is on PIN devices and payment applications certified by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. You don't have to figure this out on your own.

If you keep paper documents that contain credit card numbers, be sure that they are always locked in a secure place (such as a safe or file drawer) when not in use. Electronic storage of credit card numbers is also common if, for example, you process recurring or repeat transactions.
How long can a company keep your credit card information?
Banks generally will keep records that are linked to a bank account for periods of 5 years at a minimum. In the case of Credit cards companies it can vary depending on the account's activity, relationship to a vanity or branded bank.

Can I find out my debit card number online?
You might be able to find the number in an online statement when you go into your online account. It's very unlikely they will also put your card's 3-digit security code, since that's only put on the back of your card (it's used to verify that your card is in your possession).
