What do you like best?

I think that it's a great thing. It makes fighting a case much easier. That more people don't use it. There is nothing else that I like least about it. My vice president used it also an has no problems with it. Being able to find what your looking for, then being able to fill form in an save it, then come back to it.

Base Locators. If the person you're trying to find is currently on active duty, and you know their rank, name, and where they are stationed, finding them is pretty easy. Every military base has a “base locator.” You can usually locate the military member you're looking for with a simple phone call.
To find someone else's records, you must use Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. When you file your FOIA request, ask for all “publicly releasable” information on the veteran in question. The center will not release medical, disciplinary and other records under the FOIA.
Mail a letter or Standard Form (SF) 180, Request Pertaining to Military Records to: National Personnel Records Center. 1 Archives Drive. St. Louis, MO 63138. Fax a letter or Standard Form 180 to: 314-801-9195.
Military personnel records are open to the public 62 years after they leave the military. Records of any veteran who separated from the military 62 (or more) years ago can be ordered by anyone for a copying fee (detailed below under cost). See Access to Military Records by the Public for more details.
Discharge status ranges from honorable — this covers most veterans — to bad conduct and dishonorable discharges, which can indicate serious problems. The simplest way to find out discharge status is to ask a prospective employee for their military discharge records.
