Shape Letter: make editing documents online a breeze

As PDF is the most common file format used in business transactions, working with the best PDF editor is a must.

In case you hadn't used PDF file type for your documents before, you can switch anytime — it's simple to convert any other format into PDF. This makes creating and using most of them effortless. You can also create just one PDF to replace multiple files of different formats. The Portable Document Format is also the best choice in case you want to control the layout of your content.

Many solutions allow you to modify PDFs, but there are only a few to cover all use cases and don't cost you a fortune.

pdfFiller’s powerful editing solution includes features for annotating, editing, converting PDFs to other formats, adding digital signatures, and filling PDF forms. pdfFiller is an online PDF editor available in your browser. You don’t need to download any programs.

Make a document from scratch or upload an existing one using the following methods:

01
Drag and drop a document from your device.
02
Upload a document from your cloud storage (Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, One Drive and others).
03
Browse the Legal library.
04
Open the Enter URL tab and insert the path to your file.
05
Search for the form you need from the template library.

Once the document is uploaded, it’s saved in the cloud and can be found in the “My Documents” folder.

Use editing features such as typing text, annotating, and highlighting. Once a document is completed, download it to your device or save it to the third-party integration cloud. Add images into your PDF and edit its layout. Ask your recipient to fill out the document and request an attachment if needed. Add fillable fields and send to sign. Change a page order.

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
If you want to change the outline of a picture and make it a shape (like a circle or a star), use the cropping tools on the PICTURE TOOLS FORMAT tab. Select the picture (or pictures) that you want to crop. On the PICTURE TOOLS FORMAT tab, click Crop > Crop to Shape, and then pick the shape you want.
Click the picture that you want within the shape. Click the Format Picture tab. Under Adjust, click the arrow next to Crop, click Crop to Fill or Crop to Fit, and then click outside the picture. When you are finished, press ESC.
Click Picture Tools > Format, and in the Size group, click the arrow under Crop. From the menu that appears, select Crop to Shape, and then click the shape you want to crop to. The shape is immediately applied to the image.
Another, more precise method is to select the whole picture by clicking “CRT+A” and drag the picture by clicking on it with your mouse and dragging it around the screen until the person you want is out of the photo. Click the “Select” tool and select only the portion of the photo that you want to keep.
Draw the shape. Right-click (or Control-click) on it and select Format Shape. Choose Fill > Picture or Text and click on Picture. Insert a picture, then select Format Picture in the Ribbon. Choose Crop > Crop to Fit.
Want to crop an image, but the area you want to keep is not a perfect square? Don't sweat it just make a selection around the area you want to keep, using any selection tool you like (even the Lasso tool), and then choose Crop from the Image menu. It will crop the image as tightly as possible.
