Free Business Proposal Template An excellent business proposal includes several key elements, including an executive summary, project details, timeline, terms, and cost, as well as a conclusion and signature field for the prospect.
1 Planning: 2 Sketch your problem or point of improvement. 3 Sketch your proposed solution. 4 Define your reader. 5 Writing: 6 Draft the problem your idea will solve. 7 Include who the proposal will effect. 8 Draft the proposed solution to the problem.
Here's the general structure of a proposal: As you can see, a proposal generally consists of: Introduction: A brief overview of the problem, solution, costs, and benefits. Issue: The main definition of the issue, including subject, purpose, main argument, background information and importance.
In composition, especially in business and technical writing, a proposal is a document that offers a solution to a problem or a course of action in response to a need.
Closing a proposal, either in person or in writing, involves summarizing all of your main points, overcoming objections and finishing with a flourish. Just as in closing a sales presentation, closing a proposal should include asking for a specific response or action.

A solid proposal close-out should include a brief summary of your offer's main points, including benefits to the recipient; a clear call-to-action about steps to take next; and ways in which you plan to communicate with the recipient.
Motivate the reader to action. Identify the sender for future reference. Leave the reader with a good final impression. Provide the recipient with your contact information.
Sincerely, Regards, Yours truly, and Yours sincerely — These are the simplest and most useful letter closings to use in a formal business setting. Best regards, Cordially, and Yours respectfully — These letter closings fill the need for something slightly more personal.
Best. Sincerely. Regards. Kind regards. Thank you. Warm wishes. With gratitude. Many thanks.

Start your concluding paragraph by briefly recapping the body of your letter. Remember, the key to summarization is being succinct there's no need to be redundant and rewrite all that you've just put on paper. After a sentence or two of review, close your letters with a call to action.
Give the reader a chance to respond. Make your proposal dynamic & memorable with multimedia formatting. Keep it concise. Eliminate all platitudes. Choose the right (grammatical) person.
Topic: State your topic and your purpose for writing the proposal. Paradigm: Describe the current state or understanding as your audience knows it. Gap: Identify the gap in knowledge of practice as the current paradigm sees it.
