What does your signature say about you? But apart from being a tool for assuring legal validity of documents, your signature can also reveal a lot more about you than you may realize. The science that determines the link between character traits and a handwritten signature is known as graphology.
Signature analysis is the scrutinizing of human signatures in order to detect forgeries. In analog electronics, signature analysis is a troubleshooting technique in which an AC (alternating-current) signal with a specific waveform (usually a sine wave) is applied across a component.
A signature (/NTR/; from Latin: signare, "to sign") is a handwritten (and often stylized) depiction of someone's name, nickname, or even a simple “X" or other mark that a person writes on documents as a proof of identity and intent.
Dictionary.com defines the word signature as serving to identify or distinguish a person or group. In this case, what it means to have a signature style is to have a style that reflects your personality and the image you want to give off.

Underlining: You lack confidence. It also shows a lack of self-confidence and a desire for status and recognition. Embellishments matter because these are deliberate attempts to draw further attention to something that is already apparent and the things you choose to draw attention to often reveal who you really are.
Signature Placement: If your signature is more towards the right of the page (or signing area), you are believed to be a forward-looking person. Signatures in the center signifies a need for attention and signatures more to the left hints that you may be withdrawn with a tendency to cling to the past.
According to research from the National Pen Company in the U.S., your handwriting can give away clues about 5,000 different personality traits based on the way you space your letters, how you sign your name, and even how you connect the letter 'o' and 's' to other letters in a word.
What does your signature say about you? The signature represents the most personal and intimate handwriting we do. Experts believe that the way you sign your name can reveal a lot about your personality both in life and business. Small letters are an indicator that you are quiet, shy and possibly withdrawn.
Anyone could type a name on a form for it to be legally binding there must be a way to prove the typed name belongs to the person it represents. Simply typing your name into a document cannot tie the signature to the document. You need to have specialist software like Approve Me to 'hash' the document content.
Place the cursor in your Word document where you want to insert a signature. Click the Insert tab. Select Signature Line. A menu will appear. Fill out the required fields. Select OK.
No, you do not have to use your legal name as your signature. That is your choice. At the same time, your bank and your employer do not have to accept your “custom" signature if they do not want to. That is their choice.
Usually, a signature is simply someone's name written in a stylized fashion. However, that is not really necessary. As long as it adequately records the intent of the parties involved in a contractual agreement, it's considered a valid signature. Usually this mark is made by a pen, but not necessarily.
Signatures necessarily do not have to spell your full name. Signatures are a mark affixed by a person on a document to show his consent or dissent from the writing of the same, provided he puts his hand up and owns that this is his mark.
