You can insert only one watermark using the Watermark button on the Page Layout tab, but a watermark is just a washed-out graphic anchored to the page header, so you can add additional ones manually; see http://WordFAQs.mvps.org/AnchorToHeader.htm.
Word's watermark 'feature' is pretty much an all-or-nothing affair. If you want different 'watermarks' on different pages, you could simply open the page header(s) and insert 'watermarks' or your own.
Go to the Page Layout tab. Click the Watermark button in the Page Background group. Select Custom Watermark (at the bottom of the shortcut menu). Select the Text watermark option. Change the Text field to DRAFT. Click OK.
If you want to remove the watermark in Word go to Page Layout, choose Watermark on Page Background group and then click Remove Watermark. Remember that if you want watermarks from only one section to be removed, activate the header on one of the section pages and then hit Remove Watermark.
Click the Design tab. In Word 2007, click the Page Layout tab. Click Watermark in the Page Background group (Figure B). Choose one of the watermark thumbnails from the gallery and click OK. The watermark appears on every page in your document (unless you specify differently using sections).
